Guided Tours of London Sites

Tower of London Guided Tour

The oldest part of Her Majesty's Palace and Fortress the Tower of London was built for William the Conqueror in the 1070's.  It has been a Royal residence, a prison and it is still the place where the Crown Jewels are kept and we will see them. The only prisoners today are the Ravens. There are also fantastic displays of armour and as we walk around the precincts we will hear stories of how two kings of England were murdered and three queens beheaded.

Hampton Court Guided Tour

First built as a manor house for Cardinal Wolsey, it was Henry VIII who turned Hampton Court into a palace.  Later William III and Queen Mary employed Sir Christopher Wren to extend it so it is a fascinating mix of Tudor and Baroque architecture. The interiors are decorated with paintings and furniture from the Royal Collection.  The Palace is situated in a beautiful riverside setting with lovely gardens.

 Westminster Abbey Guided Tour

The coronation church where all our kings and queens have been crowned since 1066, the Abbey has many Royal connections.  It is the Christian focus of the nation at times of celebration and memorial.  Many famous people are buried or commemorated inside. See their memorials and also the Grave of the Unknown Warrior. Enjoy the wonderful architecture of this great abbey, a place of Christian worship for over 900 years.

St Paul's Cathedral Guided Tour

Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, built after the Great Fire of London in 1666, St Paul's is our only cathedral in the English Baroque style. There has been a church on this site for 1,400 years, a great symbol of the Christian Faith and of the resilience of London, it has been burnt to the ground three times and each time risen like a phoenix from the ashes.  During the Blitz of World War II it was a powerful morale booster to Londoners as it stood defiantly amongst all the devastation around it.
